German Football Association (“DFB”), Genius Sports Limited (“Genius Sports”) (NYSE:GENI) to combat threats of match-fixing and betting-related corruption.
Since 2019, Genius Sports has provided DFB with its state-of-the-art Betting Tracking System that analyzes the global odds movements of over 7,500 games per year with predictive algorithms to automatically flag potentially suspicious betting activity. The DFB will continue to receive 24/7 monitoring and analysis at all levels of German football.
Now, DFB has strengthened its protection against betting-related corruption using Genius Sports’ powerful Intelligence platform, provided in partnership with Clue. The DFB will identify participants involved in questionable matches and underlying trends in betting-related corruption, which can recognize patterns more quickly and increase the visibility of threats to players, match officials and coaches. Genius Sports will provide the DFB with global intelligence and transparency to better understand the risks in its competitions.
The Genius Sports Intelligence system will provide the DFB with a central repository of all integrity reports, support investigations and allow the partnership to be proactive in the analysis and identification of potential risk areas.
